HEALTH  AND  LONGEVITY
 No matter what one's goals, dreams or aspirations are in life, they cannot be fully obtainable without perfect
health.  All over America, men and women are searching for health.  By the millions, they drag their weary bones
around waiting for someone to give them health corked up in a bottle.  Real, lasting health was never found in
pill boxes.  Medicine cannot and will never cure disease.

  Medicine can give temporary relief from pain, cleanse but not cure.  If this was the case, Americans would be
the healthiest nation on the planet as we spend more money per capita than any other nation.  Approximately
40% of the population is on one drug or another while our health and longevity ranks #17 among the civilized
world.

  Only nature can cure when given the proper ingredients in which to work.  Realize that health is natural in the
animal kingdom.  Only the civilized people die prematurely.  In most aspects, civilized people live an artificial life,
especially in regard to our food and health habits. Man being intelligent is the only animal who heats, processes
and destroys his food.

  We subsist mainly on white bread, peeled potatoes, white sugar, processed foods, fast foods, sodas, etc.  
These foods are lacking in mineral salts, vitamins, enzymes, digestive ferments, amino acids and other
life-giving elements.  Health can only be acquired by the obedience to the laws of nature.  Comply with natural
laws and you will be healthy, violate these laws and you will be sick.

  The warfare against smallpox, yellow fever, polio and other plaques have almost successfully been eradicated.
 On the other hand, degenerative diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart failure and a host of others are
increasing at an alarming rate.  Surely, it is high time to devote serious attention to the prevention of these
diseases.  In the United States 16% of our Gross National Product is spent on health care with no relief in sight.  
The majority of the population is overweight including the younger generation which equates to health issues at
a much younger age.  

  Scientific experiments have concluded that chronic or degenerative diseases can be prevented by eating
balanced meals and using correct eating habits.  Nature has wisely placed in food all the elements to keep the
body healthy; that unbalanced diets and improper health habits slowly weaken the tissues and thus prepare the
way for germs and disease; and only food can become a part of the human body and that only nature cures if
given a chance.

  Wrong food-preparation, wrong food-combining, poor mastication, over-eating, negative thinking and improper
alkaline/acid balance in the body all contribute to acidosis or toxicity which leads to sickness and disease.  It has
been repeatedly shown that the smallest germ or bacterium is constantly changing its habits and methods of life
and that any common, harmless species of germ may change its method of living and become a disease germ.  

  Some of the best authorities on the subject, Lechman and Neuman stated:  "The division of bacteria into
pathogenic and non-pathogenic, etc. as is still always done in textbooks, has failed absolutely.  We can
understand and know the pathogenic variety only if we study simultaneously the non-pathogenic form which the
former have once originated and still always originate".  In other words germs such as typhoid, scarlet fever, etc.
can be changed from one to other by cultivation in different places and conditions.

  This is very significant and shows how life in the microscopic world is a struggle for existence and how the cell
in every place in life prepares and adapts itself to surrounding conditions.  As in the world, everything is in a
state of change.  This is an intelligent action, step by step.  It is the desire of the cell to survive.

  When we eat proper food and maintain the proper PH (potential of hydrogen) in the body, our cells thrive
nicely.  However, when we become acidic by unhealthy, health habits, to stay alive, the cells of body must adapt
to their surrounding environment thus causing us pain and sickness.  Returning to the old ways of proper,
health habits ensures wellness and prevents premature death.  There you have it, the secret to health and
longevity.
